About Us
Jersey Wrestling Tournaments (JWT for short) was created by the Donald Murphy, Scott Festejo and Al Smith. These are the same guys that have been running the Great 8 Summer Series/Pollishore Events for the last 8 years. The new name JWT was brought about to revamp everything. This summer there will be 11-13 open tournaments with 1 or 2 beach events, possibly a midnight madness and a premier Dual Meet tournament in August. Our goal is to give wrestlers a place to wrestle in the offseason and improve there skills. Our motto is offseason wrestling makes winter time champions.
Donald Murphy is the head official for all summer events and the main point of contact if your interested in officiating. He has been officiating some of the most prestiges dual meets during the winter months and works extremely well with the youth kids to help them learn about the sport.
Scott Festejo has been involved with wrestling for many years. He has coached at the youth level, ran various open tournaments and is also involved with National tournaments. Scott handles all general tournament questions and you can see him at the registration with a big smile when you come into the tournament.
Al Smith has been coaching at Keyport High School and running open tournaments for years. Al handles the gym set up and tear down and you can catch him along side of Scott at the registration table at all of our tournaments.
Adam Polly is the web developer, online registration and brackets guy at the JWT events. He also runs EZ Tournament Services. He has been running all types of events for over 10 years and can handle a maltitude of obsticles. If for some reason he has a prior commitment you can catch the Gimpster in his place who has been involved with wrestling and running tournaments since the days he was in college.
WE HOPE TO SEE EVERYONE OUT THIS SUMMER TRYING TO IMPROVE THEMSELVES ON THE MAT!!!
